Old Bones, Brought Current

Baton Rouge is a city of established neighborhoods — Garden District bungalows, Mid City cottages, mid-century homes all over town. Most have good bones and a few decades of deferred surprises behind the walls. Renovating them well is its own craft, and it’s a lot of what we do in the Capital Region. We also build new on infill and tear-down lots when starting over is the smarter move.

Building in Baton Rouge

Parts of the parish carry flood-zone considerations and many homes predate current code, so an addition or rebuild generally has to meet today’s standards even when the original didn’t. We work in writing with East Baton Rouge permitting, match additions to the existing rooflines and floor heights, and keep older homes structurally honest. From a Garden District kitchen to a full rebuild, we build it for the house and the block it’s on.
