Expertise and Craftsmanship You Can Call Home.

A family-owned and operated Louisiana company. Twenty years of marine work and cabinetry, now building the homes that make Louisiana resilient and timeless. New construction, demo-rebuilds, master-planned communities.

Talk to Us See Custom Homes

Marine. Cabinet bench. Custom home.

We started two ways. On the water, and at the workbench. Marine work taught us how Louisiana weather treats materials. Cabinetry taught us that the finish carries the house. Now we build the whole thing, and we know what every joint, every shingle, every cabinet face is doing.

Three Kinds of Custom Residential.

Most contractors pick a lane. We work three kinds of custom residential, supervised by the same family-owned operation that started in marine work and at the cabinet bench.

New Construction

Custom Homes for the Water's Edge

New residential construction across South Louisiana. Waterfront and inland. Cypress, white oak, finished in our shop. Engineered to the parish flood elevation and the Gulf wind load, not retrofitted to them.

Architectural Review

Master-Planned Community Work

We know how architectural review boards run, what the HOA submittal package needs to contain, and which design languages a parish-approved subdivision actually requires. We arrive ready, not learning.

Where We Build

Our footprint is Louisiana water — the lakes, the bayous, the connecting canals — and the established neighborhoods around them. Statewide license, statewide insurance, with concentrations in the Capital Region, the Northshore, and the southeast parishes.

Waterways We Build On

  • Lake Pontchartrain (north shore canals)
  • Lake Maurepas
  • Tchefuncte River
  • Tickfaw River
  • Blind River
  • Amite River
  • Diversion Canal area
  • French Settlement

Regions We Cover

  • Capital Region (Baton Rouge, Livingston, Ascension)
  • Northshore (St. Tammany, Tangipahoa)
  • River Parishes (east and west bank)
  • Southeast Louisiana
  • Old Mandeville and adjacent established neighborhoods
  • Madisonville area

Cypress, White Oak, Finished by Hand

Every project starts in our cabinet shop. Kitchens, vanities, built-ins, and trim hand-finished from cypress, white oak, and the local hardwoods that fit Louisiana light and Louisiana humidity.

How We Work

  • With Architects, Not Around Them

We work with architects when you have one, and we'll point you to one when you don't. Your drawing set stays the drawing set. Our job is to build it well, flag what won't work for the parish or the floodplain, and coordinate the cabinet shop with the architect's intent.

  • Traditional and Modern, Both

We're at home in traditional Louisiana architecture — raised cottages, Creole townhouses, Acadian center-halls — and in the coastal modern work that's been built up and down the Northshore in the last decade. Different style asks different questions of materials and structure. We answer both.

  • Preservation and Mitigation, Earned

Years of post-storm rehab taught us which sill plate gets eaten, which shear wall keeps the roof on, which opening needs reinforced glass, and what the parish historic-preservation review accepts and rejects. That hard-earned knowledge is inside every new build we put on the water.

We live where we build.

If your lot is here, let's talk.

Whether your property sits on Lake Maurepas or in Old Mandeville, on a master-planned cul-de-sac or an established neighborhood lot, the first step is the same: we walk it with you. No paperwork yet.

Why Adams Industries

We started on the water and we started at the workbench. Marine and cabinetry are two different schools and almost nobody attends both. We did. The first taught us hardware that lasts, fasteners that don’t fail, materials that survive Louisiana sun. The second taught us patience, finish, and the long arithmetic of a square corner.

Twenty years later we build custom homes for people whose lots are near the water and whose standards are near the cabinet bench. We build them ourselves. The owner answers the phone. The supervisor on your job is the person who walked your property with you. The cabinet that lands in your kitchen is finished by the same hands that drew the line.

Adams Industries is a family-owned and operated Louisiana company headquartered in the Greater Baton Rouge Capital Area, with our shop and home office in Livingston Parish. Licensed, insured, BBB A+. We serve Baton Rouge, New Orleans, Lafayette, Shreveport, Lake Charles, Monroe, and every other parish in the state, with national project capability when the work calls for it. We’re not the biggest contractor in the country. We’re the one whose name is on the paperwork all the way through.

Also: Restore Louisiana

Adams Industries is an approved Solution 2 participating contractor for both Restore Louisiana homeowner assistance programs — the 2020-21 disasters program (Hurricanes Laura, Delta, Zeta, Ida) and the Hurricane Francine program (RLHP-24). If you're working a program award, we can run your project inside the program rules.
